Good News comes in threes

1    BedfordBID is delighted to welcome that investment is on track to keep our town ahead of the rest.

The second BID2BID business breakfast meeting at The Park Inn heard more about the multi-millions being invested in the EastWest Rail link which will create 12,000 new jobs and boost regional GDP by £38 Million PER YEAR.

2    Empty shops are filling up in town too. Official statistics by Experian show that Bedford is beating neighbouring towns like MK and Northampton when it comes to units being “open for business”.

BedfordBID helps to promote the town centre as great place to invest and do business - by keeping footfall high and that means customer numbers up.

3    The Top 100 companies in Bedfordshire are performing better than this time last year.

The Bedfordshire Limited report by Grant Thornton uses the latest company accounts from the county’s Top 100 privately owned companies to provide a finance health check. Double digit growth was shown which is way above the average.

“This is all good news for people in the county town of Bedford who welcome investment, new businesses and new customers,” says the Business Improvement District (BID) team.
