Love Bedford Free School

Published on 03 September 2014

Pupils of the popular Bedford Free School on Cauldwell Street, Bedford  celebrated successes with a selection of Love Bedford Gift Vouchers to be spent with businesses in the town centre.

Principal Mark Lehain, pictured with one of his award-winning students said:  "We consider ourselves to be part of town centre life and have tried to support the Love Bedford initiative in various ways since we opened in 2014. Our pupils, many of whom cycle to school, set an example in the campaign to keep the pedestrianised parts of the town centre safe for shoppers by making sure they got off their bikes and walked in those areas. We also ran a project to decide where children could buy the best Mother's Day gifts for £5 and reported back to the BedfordBID who could share the information with a wider audience."
