The Higgins Bedford is thrilled to announce the upcoming exhibition, ‘On the Wings of a Wire Bird’ by multi-disciplinary artist, Sophie Gresswell.
Running from 3rd February until 9th June, this captivating showcase invites visitors to explore the rich tapestry of mixed heritage and intersecting journeys through an array of thought-provoking artworks inspired by Sophie’s home county of Bedfordshire and a residency on the island of St Helena, a remote British island in the South Atlantic.
Sophie has crafted a collection that weaves together the threads of empire, destruction, survival, shares experiences and encourages discussion on the global mix of heritage which defines ‘British’ identity.
