This February join us for our annual LGBT+ History Month celebrations. In 2024 there will be a display in the foyer and events in partnership with the Queer Craftivism Collective and ELFT Rainbow Bedfordshire steering group. Come and enjoy a range of activities and inspiring talks throughout the month. Keep an eye on our website and social media for up-to-date details.

#RainbowBedfordshire strives to actively challenge stigma and loneliness by informing best practices through training, increasing visibility and social inclusion, and through building LGBTQ+/ally networks.

The Norman Conquest of Britain witnessed the introduction of castles to the landscape and a major castle in Bedford was built in the 12th century. Walk through the old castle grounds, see the mound on which it once stood and hear the story of the castle and its demise in the siege of 1224.
