Trying something new can be nerve wracking. But at a FitSteps class, a warm and friendly welcome awaits you! We’re a group of fun-loving ladies, aging from in our 20s to our 70s, who just love to dance. So what to expect…
FitSteps is a dance fitness class, created by two Strictly ex-professionals, which uses simplified steps from Latin American and ballroom dancing, just like you see on Strictly. There are 4 or 5 steps to each track which are repeated throughout, so you’ll soon get the hang of it! From jives to salsas, and tangos to quicksteps, there’s something for everyone. No one ever expects you to be a perfect dancer, in fact you can do the steps your own way. Just go at your own pace, keep moving to the (great) music, have fun, make some new friends and get fit in the process. Each class is an hour long, you can take breaks if needed, and you don’t need a partner. Beginners are always welcome. Just wear something comfortable, some trainers/pumps and bring a drink.
Classes are every Thursday evening at Clapham Village Hall at 7.15 pm. £7 pay as you go (bulk buy cards also available at a discounted rate).
What do you have to lose? Come and give it a try!
