Step into the magic of Christmas at St Paul’s Church, Bedford, as the much-loved Bedford Christmas Tree Festival returns for its Silver Jubilee – celebrating 25 years of festive cheer, community spirit, and musical joy.
Enjoy the stunning display of over 70 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each created by local schools, community groups, and businesses, all set within the magnificent surroundings of St Paul’s. Across five festive days, 39 choirs and 8 instrumentalists will fill the church with the sounds of the season.
Festival Highlights:
- Opening Ceremony – Wednesday 3rd December, 10.30am
St Paul’s bells will ring out as the Bedford Pipe Band leads guests to the grand opening by the High Sheriff, Mrs Camilla King, followed by performances from school and community choirs. - Fizz at the Festival – Wednesday 3rd December, 6–8pm
Enjoy an exclusive evening viewing of the twinkling trees after dark with drinks and canapés. Bring your friends, vote for your favourite tree, and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Celebrate 25 years with a special concert featuring 25 talented musicians performing Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, and seasonal favourites.

Over the past 25 years, the Festival has raised more than £250,000 for Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends and St Paul’s Church. Proud winners of Bedford Independent’s Everyday Heroes Fundraiser of the Year (Team) 2024, the Festival is run by over 300 dedicated volunteers and supported by main sponsor Jayne Beard Associates.
