The Bedford Junior Aquathlon will take place on Sunday 11th October 2026 from 8:15am to 12:30pm, offering schoolchildren from Years 3 to 11 the opportunity to take part in an inclusive swimming and running event. Swimming will be held at Robinson Pools & Fitness in Park Avenue, followed by running in Bedford Park, with distances and swimming laps tailored to each school year.
The event uses rolling starts, meaning children compete against the clock rather than directly against one another. Organised by Bedford Borough Council’s Sports Development Unit and sponsored by the Gale Family Charity Trust, the event is limited to 200 participants.
Entry costs £10 and registration closes at 5pm on Tuesday 29th September, or earlier if the event reaches capacity.
