Join Bedford Pipe Band for a special Remembrance Service honouring all service personnel, with a particular tribute to the young men of the Highland regiments who sadly lost their lives in Bedford during a measles epidemic while training and awaiting departure for the Front. The service will include the pipers and representatives of the Services.
Please meet at the Chapel from 10am with the parade forming at around 10.15am and the two-minute silence taking place at the Cross of Sacrifice at 11am. As the service will be outdoors, please dress warmly and wear comfortable, suitable footwear for the uneven cemetery paths.
Parking at the Chapel is available for invited guests with a car pass, while other visitors are welcome to park in the Foster Hill Road car park.
If you have restricted mobility and would find it difficult to walk up to the Chapel, please get in touch at info@fosterhillroadcemetery.co.uk so arrangements can be discussed.
We look forward to welcoming everyone for this important occasion of remembrance.
