Bedford Motoring Festival High Street

Visit Bedford High Street to not only see the wonderful businesses and hospitality options that we have all year round but also to admire the display of the Bedford Festival of Motoring.

Successfully debuting at the 2022 Bedford River Festival, the Bedford Festival of Motoring wowed the crowds with exceptional vehicles of all ages and types. These will be found not only on the High Street, but also on St. Paul’s Square, Riverside Square and on Harpur Square. Remember if you want to see these vehicles in motion then the Festival of Motoring will depart the site at 5pm both days.

New for 2024 will be a physical theatre production of CODE in Harpur Square at 12pm and 3pm both days. CODE, Justice in Motion’s urban odyssey into County Lines and Knife Crime, is a spectacular blend of physical theatre, parkour and trials bike stunts with live rap and music. On an urban playground, skilled athletes and performers show what is happening to our young people exploited by organised drug crime gangs.

Town Bridge is known for being an ideal location to view the river activities, and the bridge will also host traditional bands performing in the ‘Bands on the Bridge’ area at 4pm on both days. Pull up a chair and relax to some rousing classical tunes performed by some of the best bands in Bedfordshire.
