Bedford Borough Council’s Music in the Meadows series at the picturesque Mill Meadows Bandstand continues with Mainline Big Band arrive to play music from the 1920’s to the present day. So grab your picnic basket, something to eat and drink, and settle in for a delightful and relaxing afternoon in the beautiful surroundings of Bedford Embankment.

Bedford town centre is full of fabulous cafes, bars and restaurants, along with places to put a picnic together or get something to take away. Arrive early and make the most of your Sundays, meandering around shops, markets or heritage sites before making your way to Mill Meadows. Music in the Meadows takes place on every Sunday in August, from 3pm to 5pm, and it’s completely FREE! There will be a limited number of deckchairs, however you are welcome to bring along your own. 

The Bandstand is located in Mill Meadows, Bedford, and can be found between the Suspension Bridge and Bedford Lock. It’s easily accessible by foot, bicycle, or public transport, and has the What3Words location of mild.skips.loudly.
