Christmas is a time to come together to care for one and all. The Harpur Centre will be giving shoppers the opportunity to put a smile on a child’s face this Christmas, with the installation of The Wishing Tree from Monday 18th November. Supported by Heart Radio and Early Childhood Partnership, all gifts kindly donated to The Wishing Tree will be distributed across Bedfordshire by organisations that support underprivileged and less-fortunate children and families.
So while you’re choosing gifts for your family and friends, why not add an extra gift to your basket and make someone’s day extra special.
How does it work?
- Head to The Wishing Tree in the Harpur Centre, Bedford.
- Select a ‘Boy’ or a ‘Girl’ gift tag.
- Have fun choosing an appropriate gift from Bedford town centre.
- Attached the tag to the unwrapped gift.
- Drop the gift back at the tree.
- To give the elves time to wrap up your gift, the tree will close on the 20th December. Volunteers for the organisation will then collect donations and distribute them equally across the county.
