Join the Bedford Borough community for a poignant Armistice Day ceremony on Tuesday 11th November at 11am in Harpur Square, Bedford (what3words: ///event.noted.copper), commemorating the moment the First World War ended in 1918.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 10.40am to observe a two-minute silence, followed by an inspection of the Parade by the Mayor and Lord Lieutenant.
In the lead-up to the event, poppies will be available in Bedford and Kempston supermarkets from Friday 24th October, with the Poppy Appeal launching on Saturday 25th October at 10am in the Harpur Centre with a short Service of Remembrance.
A Poppy Appeal stall will be present in the Harpur Centre until Saturday 9th November.
