Bedford Borough Council has announced the return of Bedford Beach Week, a delightful family-friendly event taking place from Tuesday 11th August to Sunday 16th August at Silver Square.
This unique event invites children to enjoy a free, sand pit experience right in the heart of Bedford. Children can enjoy building sandcastles, making new friends, and getting creative in the sand. Buckets and spades will be available, but you’re welcome to bring your own. While the little ones play, adults can relax with a coffee from one of the fantastic cafés around the square. Don’t forget to visit the What’s On – Visitor Information Centre, where children can take part in free beach-themed colouring activities.
Plus, the Harpur Centre will be supporting the event with a sensory-friendly hour each morning from 9am till 10am, featuring reduced background music and adjusted lighting to create a calmer environment for neurodivergent visitors and those with sensory sensitivities.
