What is Bedford Credit Union?
Bedford Credit Union (BCU) is a not-for-profit financial co-operative, owned and controlled by its members. We encourage regular saving and thrift, together with the provision of loans that are sensibly priced and affordable.
Like many financial institutions, we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Savers’ deposits are fully protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. We are affiliated to the Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL), registered under the Data Protection Act and a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service.
