What is The Quarry Theatre?

The Quarry Theatre is a theatre and performing arts facility owned by Bedford School. The venue houses a 282-seat theatre, a 60-seat studio-theatre and a spacious bar. It was created as a resource for Bedford School and for the town of Bedford and its local community. The foyer provides an excellent gallery space to exhibit local artists’ work all year round.

The Quarry Theatre provides an exciting programme of theatre, comedy, live music and NT Live Screenings, as well as providing a venue for Bedford School’s internal events. It is located centrally on St Peters Street, close to parking, transport links and the main shopping centre, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Opening times (please check before making a special visit)

The theatre generally opens 60 minutes before a show is due to start.
