On Sunday 9th November, the Remembrance Day service will take place at the War Memorial on Bedford Embankment (what3words: ///leave.river.fans), uniting people of all backgrounds to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from Britain and the Commonwealth, as well as emergency services, families, and innocent civilians lost in conflict and terrorism.
Attendees are asked to arrive by 10:40am as the Parade arrives from Russell Park. Once formed up at the memorial, the service will begin, with Civic Leaders, the Armed Forces, Veterans’ Associations, and community groups laying wreaths in tribute.
After the service, the Parade will proceed along The Embankment and conclude in Harpur Square.
A full order of service will be available from Monday 3rd November at www.bedford.gov.uk/Order-Of-Service, and on the day via a QR code; a limited number of paper copies will be distributed by Cadets.
Please note: There will be a limited number of spaces by the War Memorial for members of the public in wheelchairs, along with one carer, these will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
