From 15th to 27th April 2024 an ambitious new festival arrives to celebrate Italian culture in Bedford through a range of experiences. Music, films and talks can all be found at venues around the town centre, including the screening of Bella Ciao! Song of Rebellion at The Quarry Theatre, which shows the history and meaning and of this Italian protest song, Italian Chamber String Classics at The Bunyan Meeting, and Italy Sings at St Paul’s Church.
On Sunday 21st April enjoy an afternoon of cool Italian music with Erika and Manuel Petti. Their repertoire draws on traditional jazz to Latin, swing to Brazilian music, and from tango to Italian and French songwriting. Erika and Manuel are inspired by Duke Ellington, Piazolla, Edith Piaf and many more.
