Back by popular demand, Shuttleworth’s much-loved Summer Fete Open Weekend returns on the 4th and 5th July, promising a joyful weekend of entertainment, heritage and family fun. Set within the picturesque grounds of Shuttleworth House, the site will be transformed into a vibrant hub filled with music, activities and classic summer attractions, making it the perfect day out for all ages.
Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy live music performances set against the stunning historic backdrop, creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere throughout the grounds. A variety of craft and gift stalls will showcase work from local traders, offering unique items to browse and buy, while a tempting selection of street food vendors and the Garden Suite Bar will keep everyone well fed and refreshed.
Families will find plenty to keep children entertained, with a traditional fun fair, interactive displays and hands-on activities spread across the site. There will also be opportunities to meet community and volunteer groups, including the Shuttleworth Trust Fire Service and specialist drone teams, alongside fascinating heritage demonstrations from Clayton & Shuttleworth and interactive airfield defence experiences.
As part of the event ticket, guests will have access to the wider Shuttleworth site, including the beautiful Swiss Garden, where visitors can enjoy peaceful walks among quirky historic features and resident peacocks. The event also includes entry to all six collection hangars, home to Shuttleworth’s internationally renowned collection of vintage aircraft and vehicles, offering a unique chance to explore aviation and engineering history up close.
