15 Minute Parking Bays

Ultra Short Stay parking bays will allow visitors free parking for up to 15 minutes, allow drivers to pick up hot food deliveries promptly and will provide loading areas for drivers making deliveries to nearby businesses. This investment in temporary parking is designed to open up the retail and hospitality offer to shoppers and make it easier for people to support local businesses in Bedford town centre.

Bedford Borough Council has installed these temporary parking bays, which will be in place for up to 18 months, on:

• Castle Lane
• Commercial Road
• Greyfriars Car Park
• Harpur Street 
• Lurke Street
• Mill Street
• River Street
• St Cuthberts Street
• St Loyes Street
• St Paul’s Square
