World Book Day 7th March
One of the most anticipated days in the school calendar is World Book Day. The World Book Day Charity aims to changes lives through a love of books and reading. They work with publishers to create a list of £1/€1.50 books to appeal to a wide range of children of all ages, interests, and stages of reading. Book Tokens are distributed free of charge to primary schools.
World Book Day aims for the books to appeal to all children, particularly those who need encouragement to read for pleasure. Children also enjoy dressing up as their favourite book characters on this day.
Book Tokens can be exchanged for £1 books at the following town centre book shops until 31st March 2024.
