What is the Salvation Army?
The Salvation Army is a worldwide evangelical Christian church. Their mission is to offer practical help for people, without discrimination, standing up for those who are vulnerable, fighting against injustice, and to encourage people to deepen their relationship with God. The services they offer are diverse and responsive to the realities of life in the communities they serve.
Their shop on Bedford High Street raises funds for the Salvation Army’s work in the community. A busy shop, it sells clothes, homewares and some new items might show up as well! On the second floor you will find their book shop.
