What is Green Earth Cafe?
The Green Earth Cafe is the first eco cafe in Bedford. Our menu is small and we use seasonal, locally grown ingredients where possible. We serve vegan and vegetarian food cooked either in our kitchen or by local food makers who can also benefit by taking over our kitchen for a day to offer their own menu. Our coffee comes from Wooden Hill Coffee Company. Not only does the coffee taste great, it is roasted just 16 miles away from the cafe and part of the profits from coffee sales goes to plant trees in the Forest of Marston Vale.
Made in Bedford, who established The Green Earth Cafe, was created in May 2016 to promote the work of local artists, designers, makers and producers. By supporting the work of these local creatives we encourage homegrown talent and innovation, promote sustainable products, support the local economy and help our planet by reducing transport emissions. We also run Bedford’s largest arts and crafts markets and the twice yearly Artisan Fairs.
