What is Nando’s?

Nando’s serves Afro-Portuguese, flame-grilled chicken. Born in Mozambique with a blend of Portuguese and British culture – and African Bird’s Eye Chillies, also known as PERi-PERi. The Portuguese added a squeeze of lemon and kick of garlic to these mighty chillies to make the first PERi-PERi sauce and found it was the ultimate baste for flame-grilling spatchcocked chicken.

Flame-grilled, juicy, spicy, Nando’s chicken is legendary. We only use fresh, real ingredients – no artificial flavours or colouring! – and we marinate our chicken in PERi-PERi for 24 hours before it’s basted. We flame-grill because it reduces the fat content and regular basting is what keeps it so succulent. From Extra Hot to Plain-ish, there’s something for every spice level, as well as an ever-changing range of guest spices.
