The Bedford Association of Tour Guides is back for 2024, with guided tours of Bedford from April until the end of October. There are eight different tours which are an ideal opportunity to enjoy a relaxed and entertaining journey through the thousand-year history of Bedford, led by qualified and knowledgeable guides. Subjects include John Bunyan, Bedford in World War II, The Embankment, and The Rise and Fall of Bedford Castle.
Bedford Guided Walks begin at around 11am and last between one and a half to two hours, and cover a distance between one and two miles. Each tour must be booked in advance and other than the Bedford’s Movers & Shakers tour, each walking tour starts at the gold post box opposite St. Pauls Church. This is close to Bedford’s Old Town Hall, MK40 1SL and the What3Words location is lanes.snake.gone.
Bedford Guided Walks work with the Higgins Bedford. Visit the Love Bedford Events listings to see which walks are available.
There is plenty of parking and transport links around the town centre, making it easy to join a Tour you’re interested in!
