
Bedford Borough Council has announced a vibrant schedule of events for Great Big Green Week 2025, running from Saturday 7th June through Sunday 15th June. This year’s programme offers residents and visitors a wide range of engaging activities designed to celebrate nature, promote sustainability, and encourage community participation in environmental conservation.
Highlights include a variety of creative workshops, family-friendly events, and informative stalls hosted across key local venues such as The Higgins Bedford, Panacea Museum, John Bunyan Museum, Bedford Park, and community libraries.
Councillor Sarah Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience, said: “Great Big Green Week offers a fantastic opportunity for Bedford Borough residents of all ages to connect with nature and explore sustainable living practices. These events showcase our community’s commitment to protecting the environment and inspire us all to take positive action for a greener future. We encourage everyone to get involved, learn something new, and enjoy the many creative and educational activities on offer across the borough.”
This programme is supported by Bedford Borough Council in partnership with The Higgins Bedford, Panacea Museum, John Bunyan Museum, Bedford Borough Libraries, and local environmental groups. Many activities are free, with some requiring prior booking.
