TK MAXX PRESENTS BEDFORD SUMMER SESSIONS opens the gates to tens of thousands
of happy ticket holders on Thursday 3rd July.
Kicking proceedings off in style, the extraordinary SIMPLE MINDS will open this summer’s
concert season, with special guests ALISON MOYET and KT TUNSTALL. Bringing a GIANT of
a performance to Bedford Park, RAG‘N’BONE MAN takes to the stage on Saturday 5th July
with support from GAVIN JAMES and ELLES BAILEY.
Making a much anticipated return to Bedford Summer Sessions, PROMS IN THE PARK with
special guest singers LESLEY GARRETT and the People’s Tenor RUSSELL WATSON
promises fun & enjoyment for the whole family with an evening of magnificent music under the
stars in our picnic-style atmosphere on Sunday 6th July. So pack your picnics, dust off those
hampers, and prepare the Pimm’s & champagne for a perfect night out.
Mark Harrison, from concert organisers Cuffe and Taylor, said: “We’ve got an exceptional lineup
in the park this Summer – truly one of our best in recent years. I’m particularly delighted that
we’re bringing Proms in the Park back – it’s a day that’s close to my heart – and it’s one of those
Bedford events that people look forward to year after year. And to have Lesley and Russell
back in the park is a pleasure.”
Synth-pop legends THE HUMAN LEAGUE take to the stage on Thursday 10th July with special
guests THOMPSON TWINS’ TOM BAILEY and BLANCMANGE in what is sure to be an 80’s
night not to be missed! The iconic CAFÉ MAMBO IBIZA returns to Bedford on Friday 11th July
with sets from FEDDE LE GRAND, JAX JONES and a very special guest DJ set from
MELANIE C.
Celebrating 30 years since the release of their hit debut album I Should Coco, SUPERGRASS
will be bringing the 90’s vibes to the park on Saturday 12th July, supported by THE CORAL and
WILLIE J HEALEY. We bring the curtain down with our epic finale show on Sunday 13th July,
with MCFLY live on stage, with special guests TWIN ATLANTIC and DEVON.
Mark Harrison concluded: “It’s been one of those years when I’ve had to pinch myself to check
I’m not dreaming – this lineup is truly fantastic and I can’t wait to bring these amazing concerts to
Bedford – they’re a labour of love for us – we love Bedford and all of our guests and can’t wait to
give them the summer they’ve been waiting for.”
