On Wednesday 9th October the Philharmonia Orchestra arrives in Bedford to perform at Bedford Corn Exchange. They bring with them an initiative, The Guest List, which offers free concert tickets to individuals who have never attended a classical concert before.
The aim is to make classical music accessible to everyone by addressing barriers, such as unfamiliarity with classical music, concerns about feeling unwelcome, and accessibility challenges. Philharmonia believes that classical music should be enjoyed by all and this initiative can help make that a reality.
The Philharmonia provide a pre-concert welcome talk with information about the concert and music, answer questions, and offer support before, during and after the event.
