Best Start Family Hubs are delighted to launch their Summer Holidays 2026 Timetable, running from Monday 20th July to Sunday 30th August, bringing together a wide range of activities, events and support opportunities for children, young people and families across Bedford.
This year marks an exciting first for us, as Best Start Family Hubs have teamed up with Bedford Libraries and The Higgins Bedford to create a single, easy-to-use timetable showcasing everything families need to keep children entertained, engaged and inspired throughout the summer holidays.
From fun activities and creative workshops to family support services, reading challenges and community events, the timetable highlights the fantastic opportunities available right across the borough. By working together, we can make it easier for families to discover what’s on, access support when they need it and enjoy quality time together.
We are also proud to be working with the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme again this summer. Selected Summer Time Fun sessions, identified on the timetable, will be supported through the programme, helping to provide enriching experiences for children and young people throughout the holidays. Further details about these sessions will be shared on our social media channels closer to the summer break.
These partnerships are a great example of what Best Start Family Hubs are all about, bringing services, organisations and communities together to give children and families the best possible start in life, while ensuring ongoing support is available when it matters most.
